The Youth Group of Christ Church was re-established in the fall of 2007 as a way to keep our teens connected to the sacramental life and mission arm of the church. We currently have nine active members, and look forward to welcoming new members into our group this fall. Our Youth Group is open to all the parish youth who are entering 9th grade through 12th grade.
The Youth Group meets on the first Sunday of the month after the 10:00 AM Mass in the Goodfellow Lounge of the Parish House from September through May. Many of our meetings are centered on planning activities which are a combination of outreach and fellowship. We usually have one main event or activity per month. Some of our past activities included the planning, cooking and serving of dinner at the Ronald McDonald House in Camden; cleaning the labyrinth at St. Luke’s Church in Westville; assisting at the Sunday School Heifer International Walkathon; bowling; movie nights; paintball; skiing and camping.
The Christ Church Youth Group is under the guidance and leadership of Jane Gosdis and Matthew Baldwin. They believe this ministry is vital in keeping the youth active in church as they navigate the sometimes difficult teen years. Jane and Matt truly enjoy spending time with these young folks, sharing fun and fellowship, while helping them with service and watching them grow into young adults.
