Church Doctrine

Founded in 1856, Christ Church is orthodox in belief; traditional in worship, with rich ceremonial and liturgical music; and grounded in the Anglo-Catholic tradition of the Church. We believe in the Triune God – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit – and the Bible as the inspired Word of God. We accept the interpretation of the Bible as given by the whole Church through the historic Creeds and Councils, believing that Tradition is the best guide to interpreting Scripture’s meaning. We hold to the ancient understanding that praying shapes believing.

Desiring to behave as it is we believe, following the Commandments of God, and walking in his holy ways, our duty is to believe and trust in God.
